Autumn

a morning in fall

The maple leaves

fall with ease

on this autumn morn

A snow like mist

encapsulates your fist

on this autumn morn

A crow doth sing

he wants your ring

on this autumn morn

The wind is chill

sounds of banshee's shrill

on this autumn morn

The squirrel doth hide

the nuts he finds

on this autumn morn

Jack-o-lantern lights

went out last night

on this autumn morn

A black cat purr

he nuzzles her

on this autumn morn

Grab a warm shawl

discover this all

on this autumn morn

Sit down with pen

write a poem

on this autumn morn

nature poetry

About the Creator

Hillery D. Keefer

Hi! ^_^

My name is Hillery, with an 'e.' Nice to meet you. I'm new here but I've been writing poetry and flash fiction since I was a child. I like to write in the way that I think, so I guess it's kind of stream-of-consciousness at times.
