At six feet apart,
Your hand reached into blank space,
Love has funny ways.
.
Apart from the birds,
Flirting by our awkward feet,
We are strangers, please.
.
Apart from a wink,
Eye to eye ‘til I then blink,
We are still nothing.
.
We sit apart,
We laugh lots about fun lives,
My chin to the sky.
.
Love is fine, pink lace,
Love knows art so love will trace,
Love had known your face.
.
Love, love, blah, blah, blah,
I will not conjoin the heart
Someone ripped apart.
.
Still, I give a lot,
I give it all in the dark,
Apart from my heart.
.
Yet, hands apart,
The self knows this is a start,
Following the heart.
.
Us make me grin,
The gentlest without worn words,
Apart from sweet birds.
