Another

Another dandelion gone to seeds

The wind carries them away

To grasp them all cannot be done

Nor to find them at the end of day

Another bird leaves for winter

And cries its goodbye song

But never shall it return to here

The sky, empty, in its absence long

Another shell swept out to sea

Swallowed by the abyss below

As it tumbles down to darkness

The water crushes painful slow

Another parent’s world is shattered

Spilled out like endless grains of sand

They weep for their children gone

Holding cold lifeless little hands

Another innocence lost to death

Yet silence is all that’s spoken

Coffins draped in purest flowers

Our souls, forever broken
