Yes! Great choice of book and haiku! The comic shop that inspired me to share this challenge would like to share the haikus; are you OK with me sending them a link to yours?
Just read on Wikipedia that "Boxer serves as an allegory for the Russian working-class who helped to oust Tsar Nicholas and establish the Soviet Union, but were eventually betrayed by the government under Joseph Stalin." I completely forgot the character from the book...
