Even in the darkness I know you.
Your fingers find mine and the world lights up.
Sometimes it feels too good to be true.
To be the heart yours wants to envelop.
I can smell the coffee brewing in the next room.
I can hear the clock tick above my head.
I know our alarms will be sounding soon.
And begrudgingly we'll pick our bodies from bed.
But for now I can see your face relaxed.
Your mind for once at ease.
The day is sure to leave us taxed.
But come evening I'll have you back to squeeze.
