An After School Delight
As Submitted To The Snacktime Sonata Challenge
Innocently it starts
Petite morsels on the cart
Eye teasing
Stomach pleasing
Pea Bee and Jay
What can I say?
While building my case
Sandwich ends up on my face
Whose going to grapple?
About carrots and an apple
Nothing can come pear
Sliced for others to share
Now here is a tip
Maybe with a flavorful dip
Bag of chips
Creating salty lips
Sitting on the couch
Sipping from a juice pouch
Collapsing the container in a ball
Sinking a jump shot, banking it against the wall
Buttered up
Filled to the brim in a cup
Corn popped
From Kernels trained to hop
Nuts and cherries
Whipped cream does the burying
Without any guilt
Over the frozen milk
Dinner time
Must decline
Too many snacks
Traveling down the digestive tract

Had I been paying more attention to the stories you are so fond of telling, in which you are invariably author, narrator and protagonist, I would not have been so foolish as to set you up on a blind date.
