Again

Recognizing All That We Have

By UglyYummiesPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Yesterday the laundry wasn’t done,

Again.

Today the dishes sit in the sink,

Again.

Tomorrow she won’t feel like cooking,

Again.

Yesterday he ignored the list,

Again.

Today his socks are on the floor,

Again.

Tomorrow he’ll come home late from work,

Again.

Yesterday we didn’t even kiss,

Again.

Today we barely spoke a word,

Again.

Tomorrow we won’t see each other,

Again.

Yesterday we prayed for a sister,

Again.

Today we mourn with a friend,

Again.

Tomorrow we’ll still have each other,

Again.

Yesterday I took you for granted,

Again.

Today I realized I need you,

Again.

Tomorrow I will love you like I used to,

Again.
