What did I do to deserve this pain?

Was I not enough for you?
Did you find joy in causing tears?
Why did you choose to be untrue,
And confirm my deepest fears?
When did you decide to stray?
How long was I living a lie?
Why couldn't you just walk away,
Instead of making me cry?
What did she give that I couldn't?
Was it worth the trust you broke?
Why pretend to be someone you wouldn't,
When love was just a cruel joke?
How do you sleep at night,
Knowing you shattered my dreams?
Why did you turn out the light,
On what was once our shared schemes?
Was it all just a game to you,
A thrill that you'd soon discard?
How did your love turn so blue,
Leaving me wounded and scarred?
Where do I go from here,
With a heart that's been torn in two?
Why does everything feel unclear,
When I thought our love was true?
When will this ache fade away?
Will I ever trust again?
Why did you lead me astray,
And bring our story to an end?
Why did you break my heart?
What did I do to deserve this pain?
