Absurdity 1: Hands

Meaning find me,

I'm trying to write poetry

Minds withholding creativity,

Find no meaning in absurdity.

As ideas come out to dance

Delirium is off to chance,

I'm off to rub some feet

Rain 1: Awake

One fence wet, another dry,

water rips and tears the sky.

Amidst the chaos just outside,

In my heart and in my mind,

it is clarity and peace I find.

In days like this I can see,

failures, father, family;

my children and their mother

smiling playing happily,

my life is past, now set before me.

What is far ahead and far gone,

Right now nothing matters more,

than hot coffee, open eyes,

and torrential downpour.

Awakened I am, and now I see,

Much much further, and the farthest fields

But as the rain begins to falter

& the winds no longer batter water

My eyes glaze, my pulse lags, and I begin to yield

So back to my daze I go,

Stupid, hot, stupor'ed, slow.

My mind retreats into slumber,

awaiting water, winds and thunder.

My hearts song ends "Come back rain,

I don't want to go away again"

Regret 1: Bereavement

How many days must I have left,

Till nature leaves my love bereft,

And as the light drains mine eyes,

I move to say my last goodbyes,

But in screening deaths domicile,

although it takes little a while,

One thing overarching true;

Regret, as I am missing you
