Absence

An Ode to Death

By Noah HagedornPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Death

You can never plan for it, never expect it

Death

It comes at you like a freight train and just like that

Death

It’s all around us and is a part of us

Death

It waits for no one, it takes what it wants

Death

Whenever it wants it

Death

It is impatient and always comes

Death

At the most inconvienient of times

Death

It doesn’t take into account your schedule or your plans

Death

It works on no clock but the clock of life and

Death

That has no way of being measured

Death

And just like that, you’re gone

Death

The person you loved, is gone

Death

And all we’re left with is the memories that remain
