A Rainbow After the Storm

The darkness raged on, a tempestuous sea

Thunder boomed, and lightning split the sky

The storm ravaged on, a force so wild and free

Leaving scars, and tears, and a heart that cried

But then, the winds subsided, the clouds parted way

A glimmer of light, a new dawn broke the day

The sun's warm rays, upon my face did shine

And in the sky, a rainbow's vibrant hues divine

Its colors bright, a promise anew did make

A symbol of hope, a heart that could awake

From the ashes of sorrow, a phoenix did rise

A rainbow after the storm, a beauty that opened my eyes

The storm had passed, but its lessons remained

Of strength and resilience, a heart that had sustained

The rainbow's beauty, a reminder did stand

That hope and joy, can follow the darkest of lands

So let the storms rage on, and the thunder roll

For in the aftermath, a rainbow's beauty will unfold.
