12 Minutes

Is A Lifetime

Patience is not something,

That is in my DNA,

Or relaxation for that matter,

I have learned to except it,

And control where it goes mostly,

The trouble with that is,

It doesn't come cheap,

12 minutes for one memory,

That is all we have in life,

We might as well enjoy,

Every minute,

Of our false bravado,

And seize the moment,

Before it slips into oblivion,

Though the past is never too hard to find,

A minute more and we may explode into dust particles,

Would not want that to ever,

Happen again,

Or would we?

That is the conundrum.

Sadly, I do not know the answer to that. Loved your poem!
