When You See A Cat, It's Probably Going To Be A Good Day

Well It Usually Is For Me, I Love My Feline Encounters

Introduction

You know that I walk daily and usually I encounter a feline friend or two and share the pictures I get online, and this is a post about the benefits that I feel when I meet the wonderful cats.

I've included Henry Mancini's "Pink Panther Theme", a fun instrumental for these fun felines.

My Close Encounters Of The Feline Kind

Each day I walk out and see cats (you can see my pictures and videos on Instagram with the hashtags #CatsofVocal and #CatsInNam or wherever I happen to be) and there is a link below:

When I see these cats they really do make me feel something good is going to happen during the day, cats are real mood enhancers for most people.

I have taken thousands of pictures and videos and shared them on social media much to to the delight of my followers.

The thing is I don't know if a cat is a sign, or it triggers something in me that then results in something good happening. I have seen lots today, though the weather is excellent, but every one has improved my mood, and it wasn't bad to start off with.

I've seen this one a lot today, with another who is tabby. He has been moving around most of the time, but I left him miaowing to be let i, what I assume is, his front door. This is him taking a little time in the shade of his fence.

And his friend waiting at the back door. I know he's not tabby but not sure what the description of this one is:

Today there have been so many, none wanted petting though. They were either running around, running away, or posing and looking disdainfully at me.

I am fine with all of that because almost every day is different, and that makes it interesting.

I don't go out looking for cats to take pictures of, I just take them when I see them. This is a benefit of modern technology, although sometimes they move and run away so fast that I can't even get my phone out of my pocket. Sometimes they run away completely and other times they run somewhere and then sit and look at me like this one:

He still let me take his photo while he was safely behind, what I assume, was his gate. I always respect peoples' privacy and I never venture onto their property, though I know cats regard all property as theirs and I feel that makes them mischievously fun.

This lady has claimed a spot in my garden to enjoy the sun. I don't know who she is, or who his owner is, but she has decided that my garden is part of her domain:

I thought she might run away when I went over to take his picture, but she just sat and looked at me as if to say "What do you think you are up to?" My neighbour calls her "Mrs P" and she wanders in their garden too, and is tolerated by their cat.

Concluding My Time With The Kitty Cats

These are just a few that I have met today, and all have made me feel better. They are wonderful mood enhancers and everyone I know that has cats tell me how beneficial they are to their own well being.

I am lucky to have so many that I see on my walks, and I live in areas where it is safe for them to wander.

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you like the pictures. Feel free to follow me on Instagram for lots more pictures and videos.

I'm so grateful you send me the photos every day. It's been nearly two years and a day wouldn't feel right if I didn't wake up to cat pictures from you in my inbox.

I think cats are great too! I would have one except I am allergic. I had a cat for 15 years and when she died I became allergic soon afterwards.😒

  • Seeing cats always lifts my mood too! And if they let me pet them, it makes me even happier!

I love them too, but by the time I'd grab my phone to take a picture of a stray cat, they're mostly gone...πŸ₯²
