Honey Badger - the boss of the grasslands, the king of sarcasm, the reckless prince, the lord of "recklessness"!

Yes, those are the "cute" adjectives that people give to the honey badger, tiny but with unmatched courage!

Oh, hello, I'm honey badger.

In the African savannah, no animal would be shocked to see a two-toned honey badger the size of a dog fighting coolly among a pride of lions, or biting a cobra. Not because this scene happens every day, but because the animals living there are so used to the " bullying" nature of honey badgers!

Oh, hello, I'm honey badger.

If there was a contest for the title of the most "daring" person on the planet, perhaps the name honey badger would be announced very solemnly. It's no exaggeration to say that when Mother Nature created this breed of badger, she probably forgot to weigh them carefully, so their personalities are a bit... crazy. Don't be too quick to believe the innocent face and cowardly gait of honey badgers, they are actually much more aggressive and behave strangely than humans think!

What are you looking at, never seen a honey badger before?

According to the natural "family tree" , the honey badger is related to the weasel, but unlike its foul-smelling brothers, the honey badger is bold and has remarkable intelligence. Which animal dares to fight with lions, tigers, leopards, and venomous snakes without fear? Which animal dares to think of a cunning plan to climb a tree to steal the prey of a leopard? Which animal knows how to find the location of a beehive by following the honey-hunting birds? Which animal is bitten by a venomous snake and is thought to be dead, but only recovers after a nap?

There is only one answer: honey badgers ! They sound sweet and adorable, but the truth is they are named after their love of honey. Honey badgers can be found in Africa, Southwest Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. They prefer to burrow underground and live alone, but are sometimes seen hunting in pairs during mating season.

Usually other species have light fur on the belly and dark fur on the back to make it easier to hide, but my badger likes to grow it like that, is that okay?

Do you think my two-tone fur is "stylish"? Exclusively "Kha Lung" , not Kha Banh!

Honey badgers are quite aggressive , so except when they are forced to fight with large, dangerous carnivores, they usually "tease" and quarrel for the purpose of... just for fun! Although honey badgers' legs are quite short, they are very strong, their claws are also sharp, and they are ready to fight one-on-one with others instead of running away out of survival instinct.

At Chobe National Park in Botswana, tourists have witnessed a single-handed honey badger turn the tables, transforming from prey to predator in an instant while fighting a giant python and a jackal at the same time. To escape death, the honey badger had no choice but to fight back, and the python ended up becoming a meal.

Honey badgers don't know how to spell "diet", so they eat anything they can find.

The fighting power of honey badgers is very flexible and strong , they are almost never "inferior" even though their body only weighs around ten kilos. They are very agile, and their intelligence is also not bad. People once recorded a scene where a ferocious honey badger pushed back... 6 lions, and it did not lose even half a hair!

It seems that the lions and tigers are afraid of the honey badgers, because those black and white furred animals are no different from "Chi Pheo" in the animal world! No one can bully the honey badgers, even humans are defeated by their stubborn nature.

You guys hit me? Shouting that loud?

Or rude then the retribution will come soon enough!

Because of their dream of becoming "bosses", honey badgers have to sunbathe to get vitamin D to prevent rickets and have big arms and strong joints!

Because of their passion for stealing honey, nature has given badgers thick skin like armor, the skin around their necks is up to 6mm thick so that even if they are stung by a bee, it is not a problem. They have quite small eyes and small ears hidden under thick fur, as the old people said, it is not wrong, with such narrow eyes, no wonder they "look like thieves and scoundrels".

Although honey badgers are harmless "gangsters" in the wild, and are not considered endangered and need to be preserved because they are rarely eaten, scientists are very interested in them because of their strange anti-venom properties. Honey badgers like to eat insects, turtles, reptiles... and especially snakes, so they are often bitten by snakes. However, honey badgers can withstand the venom of extremely poisonous species such as vipers. When bitten, they will faint but wake up after only about 2 hours and their bodies will be flexible and normal as if nothing had happened.

A mother honey badger carries her calf through dry grass in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa.

Although most of the time honey badgers are quite "brutal" , they also have gentle moments. That is when female honey badgers give birth and take care of their young. The life expectancy of honey badgers in the wild is quite high, about 7 years, and in captivity it can be up to more than 20 years.

They are famous for not being afraid of heaven or earth, not being afraid of any animal threat, and are also listed by Guinness as one of the most dangerous animals in the wild. I wonder what the house would be like if we brought a honey badger home as a pet?
