Hope

So what to write about for my first story?

I could write about life’s simple yet guilty pleasures. I could write about how the world has gone to shit and we’re all doomed. But no today I choose to write about hope.

Hope for the future. Hope that one day things might turn out and that things might even turn out better than expected.

Hope especially in this day and age ican be perceived as a negative and nasty thing. But I think it is an incredibly powerful tool for manifestation. Without hope we are talking in absolutes and that’s not really good for anybody. Because being too optimistic can lead to a downfall and being too pessimistic can lead to not being able to move forward in productive ways.

But if we look at the word hope and other similar philosophies. They soften these two ideals and give everything a touch of dare I say it hope for a better reality.

Some people don’t see things this way and think oh but if I don’t think positively I won’t achieve anything and might attract the bad into my life. Look that is true to an extent but even if that happens hope can turn those things around.

I just find levelling perspectives and words such as hope game changers in this world where we have to consciously step in and out of our realities to catch a break. And I think arming ourselves with some of these softening perceptions allows us the ability to do this over and over again and can give us tools to cope with this crazy thing called life.

Some say that without hope what’s the point of living?

Without hope where would we be? The bible describes hope as a wish if you will of gods intentions for the future.

If you’re more of a realist then hope in no less valuable and inspires the same philosophies.

Hope makes us want to try and become better, to do better or be better.

But without hope or other equally interesting philosophies what’s the point of it all......
