Hello friends, fans, and family,

Here I am once again to show you that it can be done and that you can achieve your fitness goals. Okay, I know that it gets hard to go to the gym every other day, and it is hard to count calories, and it is not always fun to learn about your own body, and it can be boring learning about the best exercises that will give you the results that you are looking for, and want. To try and do something that everyone talks about and few people achieve and maintain is difficult. To defeat the one thing that has defeated so many people aspiring to be better can be intimidating. That one thing is time and your endurance or better yet, endurance over time. You see it is hard enough going to the gym and seeing all the fit people who have been doing it for years and in the best shape of their lives. It is intimidating, to see all these excellent athletes and fitness people working out and having fun.

When I went back to the gym it was at least six months off and on mostly off but when I got there I was a bit scared. It felt like everyone was looking at me and I was insecure, and I felt like they were looking at all my imperfections. This fear started before I even got out of the car. You see I was concerned about this before I even left the house. As I got closer and closer to the gym this anxiety came over me, but I decided that I would go anyway. It seemed like every turn was a possible turn around to go back to the house instead of the gym. Once I got into the gym I was greeted by the employee there and it was not a wide range of people waiting there to laugh at me as it was in my head. In my head they knew of the challenge that I faced losing the weight and now they are laughing at me because I had gained back the weight that I fought so hard get off. Thankfully this was all in my head. It was a pleasant atmosphere, and I was surprised that I was dreading this simple 5-minute thing that for some reason played out in my head as many hours. This 5-minute walk from my car to the locker room seemed longer in my head because of the mental pain that I put myself through, worrying. All of this because I thought that all of the people were going to be laughing at me.

The one thing that I remember the most about my first day back in the gym was how good it felt to be back in the gym. Yes, I was tired afterwards and yes, I was sore the next day, but I did it right. I trained hard and I left it all in the gym. When I got back to my car that night I was so tired, but I felt good. I did not hurt myself and I followed the instructions of the fitness pros who decided to help me. I was able to give it my all and not hurt myself and I was able to and I did train the next day. That within itself was extremely motivating. You should scale your fitness program to achieve the goals that you set for yourself. Stick to it, and know that things happen, so, yeah, you may need to adjust it for one reason or another but stick to it. You can do it.

Always know that it is not going to happen overnight, and that it will be frustrating sometimes. You may even encounter some failures, but don’t allow that to dictate you. Keep going and don’t give up because you can do it. Take the time to do the research. There are a lot of awesome fitness program out there. Choose the best program for you and make sure that the program that you choose will allow you to achieve your fitness goals once completed. If you choose to, watch the video I have included some fitness pros who I find motivating. Embarking on a new life style and/or fitness lifestyle is going to be hard at times because you are going to be going against your norm. So, yeah, it is going to be a challenge but that does not mean that it is impossible. It is not impossible. If you are already working out, then you know the effort that it takes to go to the gym and to schedule in that workout time. Keep going and don’t give up. I am going to close with, once you find your why and your groove, it will get easier.
