Thousands of authors are looking for places that can help them earn better income consistently, we've seen several platforms develop resources that would help authors, but there's no better resource than this one, which has just been announced by Substack.

Substack has just announced a feature called "Substack for Videos." This feature is already in its infancy and I've tested it and seen the power that is to come in the next few years.

Why can one simple feature change things on the Internet?

While many platforms are benefiting from the productivity of authors, keeping their platforms in the top rankings, gaining from advertisers who are increasingly attracting new authors, but never developing mechanisms to increase authors' income, Substack has launched a feature that could change everything on the Internet. This feature is so promising that it could attract authors from everywhere, from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Patreon.

The Substack for Videos feature will allow authors who rely on ad monetization and don't manage to generate much revenue and are still taxed more than 35% of their revenue, to migrate to Substack by creating video content, from podcasts to any other type of content, attracting their audience and being sponsored in a more intelligent and particular way.

"This feature, which allows authors to host their videos on Substack and monetize them through paid monthly and annual subscriptions, will change the way authors make their content available on the web. "

I started migrating all my courses to Substack, to have my audience consume in a premium way and with cheaper access, starting with a price of $8 monthly and $80 annually. As I used to publish videos on YouTube where I gave investment tips and tricks, now my YouTube subscribers can all come to Substack to support me by signing up for a monthly or annual fee and get all the premium content I offer, from courses, materials, workshops, tips and tricks, market analysis, podcasts, and Lives.

Publishing videos on Substack is already a reality, and although the intention of the platform is just to promote the Podcast, I had to test the premium feature to see if it worked, and it did. I scheduled my videos for January 1st, the day I launched my subscription course.

Substack has changed the algorithm making it more comprehensive, so much so that this new newsletter of mine has already had 34 internal reaches in its first 4 days of existence. This means that the platform is completely changing the way you promote, or find articles and authors within the platform, without relying 100% on self-promotion.

What guarantees that Substack can succeed with this feature?

The certainty lies in how the media is being run today. Most authors are tired of being used as puppets which causes a social media furor by placing them in the best positions in the competition but without appreciation. Good work should be well paid, this expresses a true sense of creator, if a good part of the authors who feel abandoned, migrate to platforms where they can have control of their audience and be sponsored directly when they consume their content, then Substack is the best place to make videos and be rewarded. I strongly believe that this feature could attract several other Substack competitors.

Not to mention that in recent years Substack has shown incredible development, in 6 years since its launch it has managed to position itself above giants such as Medium and Wattpad.

After I launch my course on January 1st, I'll update you on how I'm doing with my new side hustle. Now it's time for production, and we'll see what comes of it because I'm thrilled.
