The Last Breath

The Last Breath" is a short science-fiction film that follows two friends who travel back in time using a time machine, only to find themselves in a perilous situation when the machine malfunctions. As they fight for survival, they must also question the ethics of altering the past and the consequences of their actions. The film is a thrilling adventure that explores the idea of seizing the moment and making the most of the time we have, as every breath we take may be our last.

FADE IN:

EXT. ABANDONED FACTORY - NIGHT

A lone figure walks towards the factory, the only sound the crunch of gravel underfoot.

INT. ABANDONED FACTORY - NIGHT

The figure, now revealed as JASON, enters the factory. He looks around, his eyes adjusting to the darkness.

Suddenly, a figure jumps out at him from the shadows. It's LUCAS, Jason's friend.

JASON

Jesus, Lucas, you scared me.

LUCAS

Sorry, man. I thought you heard me coming.

JASON

What's going on? You said you had something to show me.

LUCAS

Follow me.

Lucas leads Jason deeper into the factory, to a room filled with strange equipment.

JASON

What the hell is this?

LUCAS

It's a machine. A time machine.

JASON

You're kidding, right?

LUCAS

No, man. It's real. I built it.

JASON

How does it work?

LUCAS

I don't have time to explain. Just trust me.

Lucas hits a button on the machine and it hums to life.

JASON

This is insane.

LUCAS

I know, right? But think about it. We could go back in time and see history first-hand. Imagine seeing the dinosaurs, or the pyramids being built.

JASON

I don't know, man. This seems dangerous.

LUCAS

What's life without a little danger?

Suddenly, the machine starts to shake violently.

LUCAS

Shit! Something's gone wrong!

JASON

What do we do?

LUCAS

Get in the machine! We have to ride it out!

Jason hesitates for a moment, then climbs into the machine with Lucas.

The shaking gets worse and worse, until suddenly everything goes black.

FADE IN:

EXT. DINOSAURS ROAMING - DAY

Jason and Lucas find themselves in the middle of a herd of dinosaurs. They look around in awe.

LUCAS

I can't believe it. This is amazing.

JASON

Yeah, but it's dangerous. We need to be careful.

Suddenly, a T-Rex appears and starts chasing them.

LUCAS

Run!

They run as fast as they can, but the T-Rex is gaining on them.

JASON

We're not going to make it!

LUCAS

We have to jump!

They jump off a cliff and land in a river below.

FADE IN:

EXT. PYRAMIDS BEING BUILT - DAY

Jason and Lucas find themselves in ancient Egypt, watching as the pyramids are being built.

LUCAS

This is incredible. Look at the size of those blocks.

JASON

Yeah, but look over there.

They see workers being whipped by their overseers.

JASON (CONT'D)

This isn't right. We need to do something.

LUCAS

What can we do? We're just two guys from the future.

JASON

We can at least try.

They sneak into the workers' camp and start freeing them from their chains.

FADE IN:

EXT. ABANDONED FACTORY - NIGHT

The machine starts to shake again, and Jason and Lucas are thrown from it.

JASON

What the hell just happened?

LUCAS

I don't know. The machine must have malfunctioned.

Suddenly, they hear a noise from inside the factory.

JASON

What was that?

LUCAS

I don't know, but we need to be careful.

They cautiously approach the noise, only to find a group of armed men waiting for them.
