Taylor Lautner’s Wife Taylor Discover a Lump in Her Breast - Depressive & Terrified

Taylor Lautner and his wife, Taylor, recently opened up about discovering a lump in her breast and the resulting "depressive" episode.

On their podcast, "The Squeeze", 27-year-old Taylor Lautner revealed that she experienced several health scares in the past few months that left her feeling terrified.

Her first scare occurred while she was showering a few months ago. "I felt this lump on my boob," she recounted. "I paused for a second, thinking, 'Wait, what?' I pressed on it again and felt a hard lump."

Her husband, 32-year-old Taylor Lautner, noted that the lump was "very noticeable."

"I just stood in the shower, completely frozen," she said. "I was thinking every possible thought, and of course, my mind went to the worst-case scenario," her husband added, echoing her sentiments. Taylor shared that she has friends and family members who have battled breast cancer, which made her "immediately start bawling."

"When you told me, I was terrified," her husband admitted. "But I tried not to show it because I didn't want you to be more worried than you already were."

Taylor visited a breast center for an ultrasound and was relieved to find out that "everything was clear." She explained, "The tissue can move around hormonally and change. The lump is still there, but it hasn't gone away."

"It's weird and scary because you can only feel it from one direction," her husband added. "It could have been there for who knows how long."

Taylor emphasized the importance of self-examinations. "Ladies, consider this your reminder to check yourself in the shower. Breast cancer doesn't run in my family, but there's a lot of cancer in my family, which added to my fear."

"It's also important for people to know that it's normal for things like this to happen," her husband reassured.

Taylor's next health scare involved a severe depressive episode. "I didn't want to get out of bed at all," she shared. "I didn't want to work, I was aimlessly scrolling through my phone and watching Netflix, and I had really bad anxiety attacks."

She described one incident where she was lying in bed, unable to move, and crying. "Taylor came and just lay with me," she said.

She eventually realized that her depression was linked to stopping her birth control pills after her regular doctor retired, leaving her without a current prescription. "I thought, 'Oh my gosh, I'm literally withdrawing from this birth control after being on it for ten years.'"

"My hormones were swinging like a pendulum," she continued. "Once I figured it out, I felt slightly better, but there was nothing I could do besides figuring out how to get back on my birth control."

According to Verywell Health, "Post-birth control syndrome (PBCS) is a term some alternative medicine providers use for symptoms that can occur after stopping hormonal birth control. These symptoms often last weeks or even months and include acne, missed periods, hair loss, and anxiety."

Taylor reached out to the doctor who had referred her to the breast center. "Within minutes, I received an alert from CVS that my prescription had been filled," she said.

"That was the one positive outcome from finding the lump," she shared. "It helped solve the problem."

"We're lumpy," she concluded, "but we're healthy."
