"Five minutes, Miss Black!" the show announcer called to me as I put on my hat and tilted it slightly to one side. This was my moment; my big daube and I was ready to go out and wow the audience with all my original songs. The Sweetheart Country Connection. The last one to open the show was just finished, and I was ready. I put on my best smile as I walked onto the stage after the emcee did an unbelievable introduction. When I got up to the mic, I let out a whooping, "whoo hoo!" to the applauding audience. After the audience quieted down, I began my show.

Show dialogue

"Hey y'all, how y'all doing tonight! And Happy Valentine's Day. First off, I want to thank you all for coming out tonight to be a part of my first show! So, give yourselves a great round of applause. I also want to say thank you to Lady Aleah and Jim Patrick for opening the show for me tonight. They are both such great talents and they are from right here in our great city. Also, thank you to the best emcee in the music world let's give Bruce a big round of applause. thank you, Mix Up And this great band! Now before I get started, I want to introduce someone that's near and dear to my heart. I was told that every cowgirl needs to have a horse and I didn't have one. Had no clue where to get one. So, I was talking to a manager at my bank and telling her about my horse problem and she said, hold on a minute. She said, "I'll be right back. She went through a door and three seconds later she came back and brought me the most beautiful horse I had ever seen. She gave her to me and said, enjoy your horse and have a nice show. Now this is Valentine’s Day and I see many of y'all coupled off and snuggled up together. But I also see some of y'all sitting by yourselves and looking kinda lonely. Well fret not! My horse, whose name is Snowflake has agreed sit on your lap cuddle with you and take a picture with you for the low price of twenty-five cents. Let's give Snowflake a hand y'all! Now, I began to sing my first song that I wrote about my hometown. After I sing two more of my originals, I check in on Snowflake, who has had his picture taken with about everyone in the place. Even though I was only joking, everyone was paying their quarter and fifty cents to take a picture with Snowflake. My horse was a big hit.

After the show was over, my friend, Jim Patrick came over to talk to me. He said that I was ready for Nashville, and I had done a remarkable show. He also said that I should really capitalize on story about my horse because it went over with the audience so well. And if I ever did shows where there were children, Snowflake would be an even bigger hit. This could be a major part of my brand. I really appreciated his advice at that time, and I decided that I would contact a manufacturer to make Snowflake merchandise. I decided to give away a Snowflake replica at every show I did where there were children.

The light man turned the spotlight on a table on the other side of the stage and my white stuffed horse, Snowflake. She was a replica of the real horse, Fancy who is in many of my promotional pictures.
