Halsey is embracing retro glam in style.

The 29-year-old pop star, who uses she/they pronouns, graced the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of her new film MaXXXine at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday, June 24.
This A24 film premiere was Halsey's first red carpet appearance since she revealed her lupus diagnosis on social media on June 5.
On the red carpet, Halsey posed alongside her MaXXXine co-star Mia Goth. The thriller, the third film in the X franchise, features Goth, 30, as Maxine and Halsey as Tabby.
Set in 1980s Hollywood, the film follows adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx as she finally lands her big break. However, a mysterious killer begins stalking Hollywood starlets, threatening to expose her dark past.
Halsey channeled her character Tabby on the red carpet, wearing a sparkling gold skirt set with a sleeveless crop top and hip cutouts. She completed the look with voluminous curly hair and a sultry cat-eye makeup.

MaXXXine was announced at the premiere of its prequel, Pearl, at the Venice International Film Festival in September 2022. The movie sees Goth's character heading to Hollywood in pursuit of fame and fortune. Pearl is set before the first film in the series, X (2022), leading into the events of MaXXXine.
A first-look photo was shared by A24 on Twitter on May 1, 2023, showing Goth and Halsey walking down a Hollywood street at night in their ‘80s attire.

“Meet Tabby 💋🩸 @a24 @maxxxinemovie - in theatres July 5th,” the “Without Me” singer captioned a promotional image of herself in a June 11 Instagram post.
On June 4, Halsey hinted at her health struggles while promoting "The End," the first single from her upcoming fifth studio album. The next day, she detailed her health conditions in an Instagram post.
“I realize everyone is catching up with news I’ve held in for a very long time, and I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to share,” she wrote, thanking fans for their support.
“In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder,” she explained. “Both conditions are currently being managed or are in remission; and both will likely be with me for the rest of my life.”

The “You Should Be Sad” singer added, “After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors. After two years, I’m feeling better and more grateful than ever to have music to turn to.”
She concluded by reassuring her supporters that she was ready to get back in front of the crowd, “where I belong.”
