Here is a review of one of my favorite shows. This sort-of sequel to the 1981 cult horror-comedy-film franchise finds chainsaw-handed creature fighter Ash reluctantly re-upping to save the world from a Deadite plague that he, in a moment of carelessness, has once again unleashed on mankind. To help out, he now has trusty sidekicks Pablo, Ash's coworker and friend, and Kelly, whose family was wiped out by the evil dead.It arose from a 30 year old cult classic movie.

Here is a little synopsis of the whole thing. They did a really fantastic job of bringing that same horror and comedy mix they brought in the film Evil Dead.

In the series premiere, a chainsaw-handed hero reluctantly must save the world when his act of stupidity unleashes evil and mayhem. It's been 30 years since Ash last battled the Deadites, but now a Deadite plague threatens and he must act.

Ash teams up with Pablo and Kelly for some killer missions no pun intended but they go after the deadites summoned by the book of the dead. A special agent tracks Ash; Pablo tastes blood for the first time in a manic showdown; and a revelation changes Kelly's life forever.

A mysterious woman stumbles upon the devastation at Kelly's parents' farm, while Ash, Pablo and Kelly continue to search for the Necronomicon; and Fisher faces a terrifying, inexplicable scenario. An unlikely alliance develops as Ash and the team uncover a new clue, but Kelly pays a price.

Kelly places the team in jeopardy; Pablo makes a courageous move; and Ash turns over a new leaf, revealing a new side to his character. Ash undergoes an awakening, while Pablo and Kelly make an ominous discovery. Extreme measures are taken to escape a deadly situation, while more of Ruby's mission is revealed.

Before being able to end the Evil, Ash must first contend with more physical nightmares from his past, while Fisher confronts a scary change in Ash. Ash engages in a battle with his greatest nemesis, while Kelly and Pablo must decide whom to trust. In the Season 1 finale, a last-ditch effort to rid the world of the Evil could leave Ash a changed man, as well as changing mankind forever. Then cliff hanger til next season.

The following two seasons lived up to the glory of this franchise and were amazing. I don’t want to spoil to much so I would just say it awesome if your a cult horror film fanatic. This show takes that and makes it into a never ending film as each episode is a hour long. So it’s like you get to see many parts to the long ago made 30 year old film. With even characters from the original film showing up on the show it was just brought together perfectly to me. I have been a film and show fanatic for decades, all of my life. This show is one of the greats. I can go back and watch all three seasons again. Which I have many times already. From my point of view I think it is a show many would enjoy from horror, comedy, action, and more to ancient knowledge as well being spoken about and the occult.

True to the movies that spawned it, Ash vs. Evil Dead is a gory, hilarious, and audacious resurrection of Sam Raimi's beloved horror franchise.
