The Photo frame-Ghost Story

The Photo frame

By Manish UPublished about a year ago 4 min read

It was a typical Saturday afternoon when Sarah stumbled upon an old, antique photo frame in the attic of her grandparents' house. She brushed off the dust and wiped away the cobwebs to reveal a beautifully crafted wooden frame with intricate carvings of flowers and vines.

As she examined the frame, Sarah noticed that there was a photo inside, an old black and white image of a family she didn't recognize. The photo was dated from the early 1900s, and Sarah couldn't help but wonder who the family was and why their photo was hidden away in the attic.

Curiosity got the better of her, and Sarah decided to take the frame home with her to see if she could find out more about the family. As she hung the frame on the wall in her bedroom, she noticed that the photo inside had changed. It was now a photo of a different family, one that she had never seen before.

Sarah was spooked but tried to brush it off as her imagination. She went to bed, hoping that the strange occurrence was just a fluke. But the next morning, she woke up to find that the photo had changed again. This time, it was a photo of a young girl, staring straight ahead with an unnerving smile.

Sarah was getting scared. She couldn't explain the strange happenings, and she didn't know what to do. She decided to take the frame to a psychic, hoping that they could help her make sense of the situation.

The psychic was an elderly woman with piercing blue eyes, and as soon as Sarah entered her shop, she knew that she was in the presence of someone who knew more than she did. The psychic took one look at the photo frame and gasped.

"This frame is cursed," she said. "It's haunted by the spirit of the girl in the photo. She died tragically, and her spirit has been trapped inside this frame ever since."

Sarah felt a chill run down her spine. She had never believed in ghosts before, but the psychic's words were unnerving. She asked the psychic what she could do to break the curse, and the psychic replied that there was only one way. She would have to find the girl's body and give her a proper burial.

Sarah was hesitant but knew that she had to try. She began to research the history of the photo frame, tracing it back to the early 1900s. She found out that the family in the original photo had lived in the same house as her grandparents, and that they had a daughter named Alice who had died young.

Sarah knew that Alice was the girl in the photo, and she was determined to give her a proper burial. She enlisted the help of a local historian, and together they scoured the archives for any information on Alice's death.

They finally found a death certificate that stated that Alice had died from an unknown illness at the age of ten. The certificate also listed a burial location in a nearby cemetery.

Sarah visited the cemetery and found Alice's grave, which was overgrown and neglected. She knew that she had to make things right. She spent hours cleaning up the grave and laying flowers on it, hoping that it would appease Alice's spirit.

When she returned home, she found that the photo frame had changed once again. But this time, it was different. The photo was now a photo of Alice, smiling brightly and looking content.

Sarah knew that the curse had been broken. She hung the frame back on her wall, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. But as she looked at the photo of Alice, she couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. Alice had died so young, and her spirit had been trapped for so long.

As the days went by, Sarah felt as if she could sense Alice's presence in her room. She would wake up in the middle of the night to find the photo frame glowing softly, as if Alice was trying to communicate with her.

At first, Sarah was scared. But as time went by, she began to feel a connection with Alice's spirit. She felt as if Alice was watching over her, protecting her from harm.

One night, Sarah woke up to find the photo frame glowing brighter than ever before. She felt a sudden urge to touch the frame, and as she did, she felt a surge of energy coursing through her body.

Suddenly, Sarah found herself transported back in time, to the early 1900s. She was standing in the same room where the family in the original photo had posed. She saw Alice, looking just as she did in the photo, standing beside her.

Alice spoke to Sarah, telling her that she had been waiting for someone to break the curse and release her spirit. She thanked Sarah for her kindness and promised to watch over her always.

As Sarah returned to the present day, she felt a sense of peace. She knew that Alice's spirit was finally free, and that she had played a part in making it happen.

From that day on, Sarah kept the photo frame on her wall as a reminder of the strange and wonderful journey she had been on. She knew that the frame was no longer cursed but was now a portal to a world beyond her own.

And every once in a while, when she looked at the photo of Alice, she felt a sense of warmth and happiness wash over her, knowing that Alice's spirit was still watching over her, and that she was never truly alone.
