The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own.
I knew at that moment I wasn't alone...
In the mirror's reflection, behind my right shoulder, there was a creature staring at me through the mirror with a bloodthirsty expression. The creature was slightly bigger than me, it was navy green, and it's body was constructed from Marijuana buds and vines. It was terrifyingly grotesque. I was in my room, and the reflection showed my room too, except the walls of the room in the reflection were worn and torn with mold growing in some spots and boards showing in others. The room was also darker in the mirror's reflection and the single light fixture upon the ceiling was flickering.
I quickly turned my head to view the monstrous creature behind me, however the creature was nowhere to be seen. My room was clean and tidy, just as it was last night. The walls were normal and the light was working as it should. Am I going crazy? I thought to myself.
When I looked back at the mirror's reflection, the devious creature was still behind me with it's sinister appearance in the same gloomy room with a flickering light.
Once again, I turned to look behind me... the room was empty.
I began trembling in fear as sweat started running down the back of my neck. Looking back in the mirror, I felt a cold chill over my body as the creature opened it's mouth exposing sharp thorn-like teeth with bloody saliva dripping from it's jaw. Instantly my fight or flight reaction kicked in. I began violently punching the mirror. The light in my room began flickering in unison with the cracking of the glass. After five consecutive hits, the mirror shattered. The glass fell to the floor, the light stopped flickering, and blood slowly trickled from my fists dropping onto the hardwood floor.
I felt a calm relief as the creature in the mirror had disappeared and I was safe from any harm.
Until I heard deep breaths from behind my right shoulder.
I froze for a moment.
This isn't possible, I thought to myself, I was only seeing things, there is no monster in the mirror, it wasn't real, nobody's behind me.
With extreme caution, I slowly turned my head to investigate the breathing noise. Surely enough, it was the terrifying creature. This time it was outside of the mirror, standing two feet from my body, and staring straight at me with it's cold black eyes. The lights began to flicker again, when the light was on it was my room and as it flickered it showed the room from the reflection. The creature had a blood-thirsty look to it, and I was frozen in fear.
I quickly snapped out of it and pushed the creature backwards before bee-lining it towards the door.
I ran as fast as I could.
I turned back to see if the creature had followed me,
it was at the other end of the hallway crawling across the wall towards me...
I made my way into the kitchen, there was a large kitchen knife on the countertop. I grabbed the knife and bravely turned to face the creature.
It was there.
I stood facing the hallway, holding the knife in a defensive position ready to strike at any given moment.
I heard something fall and hit the floor behind me,
As I turned toward the noise, the creature lunged towards me...
...I woke up in my bed sweating buckets, with an incredible fear flowing through my body. I searched my room for evidence of the creature, it was nowhere to be seen. There was no mirror, it was only just a dream...
