HORROR MOVIES BASED ON TRUE TERRIFYING EVENTS.

It is convenient to watch a scary movie in the comfort of your own home or at the movies, knowing full well that you can tell yourself in bed later that it was all just a movie and didn't really happen. But what if you were unable to do so because the movie was actually based on true terrifying events? Here are some scary films where that is, in fact, the case.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and crazy Most people are likely familiar with the notorious Edging, also known as The Butcher of Plain field, but if not, you should be aware that he was the subject of several films, the most well-known of which being Psycho and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which I shall discuss together Plainfield, Wisconsin, was the starting point of it all. For years, the small community's neighbors suspected that something was strange about Ed. They believed that kids would play around on his property and see how close they could get to his eerie old farmhouse. Gann's late-night raids on surrounding cemeteries, where bodies were dug up.

When police searched Gann's home, they discovered that it was filthy and littered with trash, with the exception of a few boarded-up areas, one of which was his mother's room. Following his mother's death, G was devastated, and this is believed to be the primary motivator for his crimes. Alfred Hitchcock based Psycho on the extremely unsettling novel written by Robert Block, who lived within 35 minutes of Gann's farm and was aware of what had happened there after Robert learned of Gann's crimes, which included G wearing clothing made of women's skin in an attempt to feel closer to his deceased mother.

This was because Gann's old room was eerily kept in a pristine condition just as she left it. How was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre connected to G in addition to being insane? Robert got the inspiration for Norman Bates and his fixation with his deceased mother in the hugely successful film. While the majority of film sequels claim to be based on real-life incidents, no single figure no single character is based on G the family in the films who abduct passes by torture then kill them and use their body parts as decorations is linked to Gann's crimes and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre skin mask is linked to Gann's mask made from female heads and one of his victims Mary Hogan whose face was found in a paper bag in Ed's home the horrors found in edging’s home are up there as the most disturbing acts ever committed and unfortunately the small town of Wisconsin will forever be linked to those horrifying events .

In 1977 wiz Craven released a movie called The Hills of eyes at the time At the time, a film called The Hills of Eyes did well at the box office and went on to become a cult classic horror film. This led to the 2006 remake that most of us are probably familiar with, as well as two more sequels. The story of a family on a road trip who wind up stranded in an atomic testing zone far from everyone and everything is told in both the 2006 and original Hills of Eyes films. Before long, the family discovers that the area is actually home to a deformed cannibalistic family who intends to use them as their next meal.

Although the film itself seems too fantastical to be based on anything real, it is actually based on Alexander Sony Bean and family. Sony Bean Alexander was born not far from Edinburgh City and went on to become the leader of a Scottish Clan. He had about 14 children and 32 grandchildren, all of whom were born via incest. The clan lived in a cave sometime in the 16th and 17th centuries, and during this time, there was no way to contact the outside world.

Hundreds of people would frequently go missing while passing by the cave, and Sony Bean and his family were accountable for this because they would ambush the unwary victims, Rob, and kill them before taking them back to their cave, where they would chop them up and pickle their limbs for consumption later on. If you think the film isn't scary enough, the fact that it's based on the Matt Bagot book The Writer the Making of a Modern Exorcist makes it even more terrifying. The book details the purportedly true events in the life of trained exorcist parent Gary Thomas, as well as his employment and training experiences. Father Gary Thomas, an exorcist, and his experiences working and training in Rome. Initially, when he was sent to Rome to learn the craft of exorcism, he was skeptical.

However, this skepticism quickly gave way to the reality of evil as he witnessed firsthand demonic possession. Father Carmine served as his mentor in Italy, and during his apprenticeship, Father Thomas and he attended dozens of demonic battling rights. One incident in particular stands out in his memory: a worried family member brought in Lisa, who was exhibiting violent outbursts. Father Thomas claimed to have felt a powerful presence in the room as he began to pray.

Lisa's face began to distort and she began speaking in a new language. When Father Thomas placed his crucifix on Lisa, she let out an agonizing scream. He covered her with his scarf, and she tried to move away from him until he told her that was enough for today. In the movie, a similar scene features a possessed woman who acts similarly, with the exception that she spits out metal nails. Father Thomas claims he has never seen this happen himself, but he was informed by another priest who apparently saw a possessed woman vomit seven black nails.
