Are you familiar with doppelgangers? Have you seen your doppelganger? Are you ready if one day, when you were alone in a dark place, you saw your shadow double?

THE FIRST ENCOUNTER

One evening, me and my two cousins were in the bedroom. I was sitting on my cousin Athena’s bed, facing her, and we were conversing. A few minutes later, Tita called my other cousin Jessa, who was lying on my bed, and then she left the bedroom. However, she turned out the lights before leaving the room. Even though all I could see in the dark was Athena’s silhouette, I did not give the darkness any thought.

I carried on speaking with her. She was just smiling there while we were conversing; she didn’t say anything. I took a break for a while because of her strange behavior. I’m getting a little uneasy about it. But later on, though, I chose to ignore her strange behavior and carry on with my story.

She was strange, though, at that moment. She is simply grinning and unresponsive to anything I say. I told her, “Hey, Athena! Are you listening to me? ”and gave her a foot kick. I was shocked when I felt nothing but the bedsheet when I kicked her. But I’m positive I saw her feet on mine, but I didn’t feel them when I kicked her.

Then I turned to face her again, and this time, her smile turned sly and gave me the chills. I screamed and fled the room as quickly as I could as a result. Upon arriving at the living room, I noticed Jessa, Tita, and Athena. Watching TV while seated. I was so terrified that I couldn’t speak.

It was very difficult to speak at that time. When they questioned me, I described what had happened to me in that room. They made the decision to investigate the veracity of what I was saying. When they entered the bedroom, no one was there. Athena claimed that she went outside too when Tita called for Jessa. It was just me there after Jessa turned out the lights all along.

THE SECOND ENCOUNTER

The story I am about to tell you now is about my second encounter with Athena’s doppelganger. At the time, I was watching TV on the sofa. Allow me to explain the living room’s orientation to you. The bedroom door is located on the right side of the sofa. Peripheral vision allowed me to see that Athena had emerged from her room, and that’s when I realized I had to follow her because I needed to tell her something important.

She was heading for the kitchen’s tiny room. She was heading toward my brother’s room, so I’m not sure what she’s going to do there. “Athena, hold on; I have something to tell you,” I said. As I pulled open the door, nobody was there. I admit that I became scared and perplexed at the same time.

I made the decision to head back to the living room because no one else was there, and as I got there, I noticed Athena emerge from her room. It was the real Athena this time. “Did you call for me? ”She asked. I was unable to speak.

THE THIRD ENCOUNTER

I was in the living room with Athena. The same event took place. We both noticed it this time. Something that is eerily similar to Athena has emerged from her bedroom and is making its way toward the tiny kitchen room. It was in our peripheral vision, both of us.

We turned to face each other right away and asked, “Did you see it? ”. I’m not sure if my other cousins have experienced the same thing. Since they are still residing in that house and I didn’t want to frighten them, I didn’t bother to ask.
