Missing Man on Carnival Cruise

In recent cruise news, a distressing incident has been reported involving a missing passenger from the Carnival Glory cruise ship. In today's top news segment, we will provide the latest information on this incident and cover key updates from across the cruise industry.

Welcome to the Travel Scouts, your go-to cruise information channel. I'm Jason, and we are committed to delivering cruise news and information promptly, ensuring you stay informed without wasting your time. If you're a cruise enthusiast, consider subscribing as we have a lot to cover today.

Let's start with our first update. Disney Cruise Line has announced a new year-round home port. While Port Canaveral, Florida, has been Disney's exclusive year-round home port, a grand opening ceremony was held for their new Cruise terminal in Port Everglades. The Disney Dream Cruise Ship will commence sailings from this terminal on November 20th.

Moving on to our second piece of news, there's exciting information for Carnival Cruise Line enthusiasts. Cruisers may soon have the option to pre-book Carnival's popular "Behind the Fun" tour. Traditionally, this tour was only available for booking after boarding, leading to a rush for limited spots. Carnival Cruise Line is currently testing pre-cruise bookings for this tour on the Carnival Horizon, with plans to extend this option fleetwide in the future.

In another development, MSC Cruises has confirmed orders for two more world-class ships. The MSC World Europa, currently the sixth-largest cruise ship globally, will be joined by the MSC World America in 2025. Furthermore, MSC has disclosed plans for additional world-class ships in 2026 and 2027. While the naming theme follows a regional pattern, the specific names for the upcoming ships have not been announced.

Shifting our focus to international travel, the US State Department has issued a travel advisory for the nation of Belize. While Belize as a whole is listed as a level two travel advisory, meaning increased caution, Belize City, where cruise passengers arrive, is marked as a level three advisory, urging travelers to reconsider plans due to reported high levels of violent crimes.

As we delve into more cruise updates, Carnival Cruise passengers have expressed disappointment as the Carnival Forin cruise ship's inaugural sailing date was moved up. Originally set for May 2nd, 2024, the new inaugural sailing date is now April 25th, 2024, leaving some passengers who specifically booked for the May 2nd cruise displeased.

A quick hurricane season update indicates a clear Eastern Pacific, while the Atlantic has a weather system marked with a 70% chance of cyclone formation in the next 7 days, prompting weather alerts for Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.

Norwegian Cruise Line has launched an early preview of its Black Friday sale, offering cruises at 50% off and free add-ons such as drink packages, dining packages, excursions, and Wi-Fi.

In a notable shift, Margaritaville Cruises will now offer longer three-night cruises starting from August 9th, 2024, providing an extended weekend getaway option for cruisers.

Tragically, our last piece of news reports a missing cruise passenger. A 28-year-old man, Tyler Barnett, disappeared from the Carnival Glory cruise ship. Despite extensive searches by the ship's security team, he remains missing. Carnival Cruise Line has assured support for Barnett's family and stated that the ship will proceed to Montego Bay, Jamaica, as scheduled.

Our thoughts are with Tyler Barnett's family, and we hope for a safe resolution to this distressing situation. Subscribe and hit the notification bell to stay updated on the latest cruise news. We'll be back soon with more updates. Until then, keep on cruising, and we'll catch you in the next video.
