Poacher Review

Hey, nearest and dearest, Prime Video has just dropped its latest series, Poacher, and personally, I'm pretty impressed with the trailer. Now, the big question is: will this show reel us in completely, keeping us hooked and booked, or is it just another attempt at entertainment that might not hit the mark?

So see, the story of Poacher is set inside a village in Kerala where elephant smuggling has started once again. Now what action will the police take? Will they be able to catch these poachers or not? For this, you will have to watch this show, which has eight episodes whose length varies around 50–55 minutes, and yes, the good thing is that Season 1 has come to a conclusion, so you will not have to wait for Season 2.

Poacher Review

Poacher is a kind of slow-burn, intense drama show. See friends, its director is Richie Mehta, who made the first season of Delhi Crime, which was a slow burn like Poacher, where things seem to be executed slowly.

In the Poacher show, the policemen are going through different personal lives, and on the other side, the villains are going through different troubles in their lives. Everything happens slowly. So if you are that audience member who wants things fast and along with entertainment, then sorry, you are not going to find this show interesting at all.

Especially the start of the show was quite slow; episode 1 was fine, but after that, things were quite slow. It may happen to some audience members that they may sleep comfortably after experiencing episode 3, but guys, if you like slow burner content and if you want to watch an interesting topic, then definitely this show is for you.

This show talks about a really important issue: the decreasing number of elephants and the damage to our forests. It's something we should all think about.

The show does a good job of showing these problems, and we should all talk about them and express our views on them. But these days, many people are more interested in discussing Instagram models, Bollywood actors, or YouTube dramas instead of these important issues.

So yes, the issue of the show is quite good. In the meantime, the last two episodes are very good, where you get to see tension, intention, thrill, excitement, everything. The cat-and-mouse battle that is going on is also well presented, I would say.

This show has completely won in the acting department too. Roshan Mathew was here, and he looked amazing on screen. Dibyendu Bhattacharya is also a part of this show, although there has been a problem with him that I will not reveal.

Apart from this, this show is also technically well made. I mean, the way the forest was beautifully showcased is very good, its BGM, or color grading, is also good, and the way the emotions were covered in the show was also good. When you experience the scene where an elephant gets shot in episode 1, the emotions presented in that scene were not presented in a loud, over-the-top manner but were taken sensitively.

Conclusion

Guys, according to me, Poacher is a worth-watching show, especially if you like slow-burn shows, and as I said earlier, if you go looking for entertainment in it or you do not want things to be executed in slow-burn, then definitely your interest will not develop even one percent in this show. Although there is nothing like vulgarity here, there is something in episode number 8 that will make you feel uncomfortable with the family, so keep that in mind.

So, that concludes my take on the latest Amazon Prime show, Poacher. I hope you enjoy the journey. Don't forget to hit the like button and drop some comments.
