Sometimes, the best missions in Cyberpunk 2077 are the ones where you don't have to get up-close and personal. It saves you time and Max Docs to shoot your enemies from afar and simply stroll up to collect your loot. Enter the precision and sniper rifle class of weapons - the not-so-silent but very deadly long range killers. A merc's best friend.

If you're having trouble finding your perfect long-range weapon, here's how to get all of the Iconic sniper rifles and precision rifles in Cyberpunk 2077. As always, beware of major game spoilers ahead.

Widow Maker

Type: Tech precision rifle

Mission: Ghost Town

Location: Looted from Nash's body at the end of the mission

Arguably, Panam's series of sidequests is the most violent, requiring you to slaughter your way through dozens of Raffen-Shiv. One of these missions is Ghost Town, Panam's introductory mission that has you going out to an abandoned mine after agreeing to help her eliminate her backstabbing ex-partner, Nash. The reward for this mission (beyond Panam's friendship and very pretty smile) is Nash's gun, Widow Maker. As a bonus, you can also find the Rayfield Caliburn and a free legendary piece of clothing in the same area.

I personally am madly in love with Widow Maker, and not just because it's a tech precision rifle (tech weapons are the best and I will not be taking constructive criticism about that opinion). It fires two bullets per shot, deals more damage with its charged shots, and deals chemical damage with a high chance to apply Poison effects to your enemies. Talk about a serious gun!

Breakthrough

Type: Tech sniper rifle

Mission: None

Location: Looted from a corpse at an Organized Crime NCPD spot in Rancho Coronado (Santo Domingo).

Crafting Iconic weapons is one of the great joys of Cyberpunk - most Organized Crime NCPD missions offer Iconic crafting recipes that you can craft and put up on your wall in your stash room.

For its part, Breakthrough is a pretty good weapon. It does what it says on the tin - the bullets it fires can ricochet and punch through walls, meaning no one is safe from your wrath while you use it.

O'Five

Type: Power sniper rifle

Mission: Beat on the Brat - Champion of Arroyo

Location: Reward for defeating the goons in the area

This is part of the Beat on the Brat quests - when you roll up for your fight with the Champion of Arroyo, Buck, you have the option of asking him to add his Iconic sniper rifle to the wager. Even after you beat the crap out of him, he'll refuse to hand the gun over and he and his friends will attack you. Once you put them down, you'll be able to grab your prize.

O'Five's perk is simple, straightforward, and devastating - the rifle fires explosive shots, making it ideal for taking down gang compounds and corp armies from above like an avenging angel.

Overwatch

Type: Power sniper rifle

Mission: Riders On The Storm

Location: Given by Panam after completing the mission

River isn't the only romanceable NPC that gives you a gun as a sign of affection - Panam's gift is Overwatch, a huge sniper rifle with a custom silencer that you get to use while completing Riders on the Storm and keep afterwards.

Overwatch is a pretty good weapon - it has an increased reload speed, which solves one of the few issues with sniper rifles in Cyberpunk 2077, and it has a custom silencer on it that makes it the ideal companion for stealth missions. Upgrade it diligently throughout the game and it will never let you down.

And that's all for the Iconic precision and sniper rifles in Cyberpunk 2077! The next part is about shotguns, so stay tuned!
