“Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. If your smart you’ll always keep your space suits on, trackers and your communication devices working. It may save your life one day, space cadets. Now with your basic training completed we are heading to space camp class 1A. We leave in 1 day, be ready at launch deck H for boarding at 8am. You're all excused.”

Class 1A standing at attention solutes Commander Ace as he walks away, and then begin to congratulate each other with hugs and cheers. “We made it! What should we do to celebrate? We could do something that involves eating or going dancing.” Mia says excitedly as she jumps into the air.

In a hurry David says, “I need to get some adjustments made to my spacesuit so I’m heading to space gear facility, but I’ll meet up with you guys after, see yeah”, waving his hand bye as he leaves the group.

Skye suggests, “I think I’m going to go to the lake for a walk to relax for a little bit before I do anything else if anyone wants to come along?” Before anyone could answer Skye notices that as usual Kane, without saying anything, starts walking away. Skye shouts “Kane where are you going?” “I need to beat all of you at tomorrow’s exercise training so I’m going to go do more training.” Kane replies without stopping. Skye sighs “Dude you don’t even know what we are doing tomorrow how can you train?” Kane turning his head back says, “I’ll do whatever it is better and faster than all of you.” With a dismissive wave of his hand and he heads to the training room for space exploring. Oma clears her throat “Well I’m going to video chat with my family for a little bit and then I’ll decide what I want to do after.” She heads to her communication tower. Matilda suggests to the small group that’s left “Mia I think all of your ideas are great so let’s see if we can combine them all! The food we will have to be picky about since we are flying tomorrow and not to be too exhausted to be able to still perform our duties. So how about a game involving food and training?”

Everyone huddles in to listen to the plan Matilda has in mind. The group agrees and they begin planning their celebration party. “Ok Mia and I will get the food. Theo you get the supplies with Edgar. Everyone else begins to set up the relay race, everyone shouts “yeah!” They all run in different directions.

Kane looks up ahead and sees the training facilities red warning lights flashing but no sound and no announcement. He turns around and watches the other classmates huddle and run off in different directions. “That’s odd he thinks to himself,” then he looks down at his communicator and notices the flashing red warning light going off. All the warning lights on every building and all personnel's spacesuits goes off flashing code red warning lights.” What is going on and how is it a level red already? Where were any of the other previous warnings?” Looking up in the distance he sees it, his eyes get bigger as he sees the spaceship falling down right into their sector. In disbelief the deafening loud cracking noise of the shield barrier being breached, mixed with the sounds of the electrical system shorting out, brings his mind back into focus. He sees sparks in the lines that still have power. The forced wind from the crash creates a dust windstorm blowing everything away and instantly begins to pull everything toward the now gaping hole in the sector's shield barrier. Kane attempts to start running towards the barracks to get to his spacesuit, and an announcement is made on all communication devices and loudspeakers. “There has been a breach, this is not a drill, oxygen is leaking from sector Area 51 everyone must suit up. Static breaks up the rest of the message and another voice comes in asking to deploy all 2nd air guards in every sector.”

Kane is trying to stay on the ground, feeling like he is running in slow motion and not getting anywhere. Frustrated and thinking to himself, “How am I getting lightheaded already? How big is this leak? Why send out the air guard and not deploy the backup shield? I didn’t recognize the voice on that last announcement. I need to get my spacesuit on. I’m about to pass out I’m not going to make it… wakes up heart racing gasping for air why am I remembering this now?”

Emergency call directly to his quarters is beeping flashing red. Kane answers, “Yes what is it?” “Commander Kane sorry to bother you sir, during your sleeping hours, but we have found a merchant spaceship that you were looking for. Should we intercept?”

“Yes and remember to get the ship to send a distress signal to set the trap. Board when ready, no one is allowed to leave or enter that spaceship without my approval. Get all the teams ready. I'll be boarding this time; we can’t afford any mistakes.”

“Understood sir.”

Disconnecting the communication line, thinking to himself as he begins to get ready. “It’s time to end this cat and mouse chase once and for all. Let’s just see who is trapping who today Mister black hooded pirate thief?”
