The night of the black-eyed girl.

The myth

By Alexandra NtuiPublished about a month ago 3 min read

The music pulsed through the darkness, a hypnotic beat that seemed to draw everything in its path towards the strobing lights of the party. Sarah and her friends had been looking forward to this night for weeks, and they were determined to make the most of it.

As they danced and laughed, Sarah started to feel a strange, creeping sensation in her mind. At first, she wrote it off as the effects of the music and the flashing lights, but as the night wore on, the feeling grew stronger.

It started with small things. Sarah would find herself moving to the music in ways she didn't recognize, her body contorting in ways that seemed impossible. Then, she started to feel a creeping sense of dread, as if something was watching her from the shadows.

As the night wore on, Sarah's behavior became more and more erratic. She would lash out at her friends, screaming at them for no reason, and then suddenly become calm and distant.

It wasn't until she stumbled outside, her eyes black as coal, that her friends realized something was horribly wrong. Sarah's body began to contort and twist, her limbs elongating in ways that seemed impossible.

As her friends watched in horror, Sarah's body began to change, her skin stretching and morphing into something grotesque. Her eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and her voice became a low, menacing growl.

Her friends could not believe their sights,

and the atmosphere of the room changed. Sarah could smell fear and gave them a thirsty look.

One by one, Sarah's friends fell victim to her newfound powers, their screams echoing through the night as they tried to flee. In the end, only one remained, cowering in the corner as Sarah loomed over her, her eyes blazing with an evil intensity.

And then, everything went black.

The next morning, the police were informed, and the got to the scene immediately. They found a sole survivor, catatonic and traumatized, amidst a scene of unimaginable carnage.

The police investigation that followed was unable to determine what had caused Sarah's transformation. Some said it was a curse, others a demonic possession. But one thing was certain: Sarah was nowhere to be found.

The police did all the could to find Sarah, they searched the whole town, reported to the radio, news published more papers on finding her. Her posters where pasted everywhere but all efforts put in finding Sarah proved impossible, Making people believe she was not a real person.

As the years passed, the story became a myth and the legend of that night grew. People whispered of a cursed party, where a girl had become a monster and slaughtered her friends. They called it the "Night of the Black-Eyed Girl".

But the truth was far more sinister.

Sarah had not been possessed by a demon or cursed by a witch. She had simply stumbled upon a dark and ancient power, one that had been hidden in the music and the lights of the party.

And now, she roamed the earth, seeking out new victims to add to her gruesome tally. Her eyes were black as coal, and her heart was filled with an insatiable hunger for blood.

The Night of the Black-Eyed Girl became a cautionary tale, told to scare children into behaving. But the truth was far more terrifying.

For in the darkness, Sarah waited, her black eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. And when the music started, she began to dance, her feet moving to the beat of a sinister melody. she's waiting patiently for the right time to strike again.
