She stared at the blank page, her pen poised in her hand. She'd been sitting there for hours, but the words refused to come. She tried to remember why she wanted to be a writer in the first place, but all she could recall were the rejections, the failures, the empty notebooks. Maybe she was not meant to write stories after all. Maybe she should give up this dream.

But then, a tiny flicker of an idea lit up in her mind. She wrote down one word, and then another. Suddenly, the story was flowing like a river—unstoppable and true.
