It was a day at work like any other day. I spent two hours wandering around the kitchen, doing my job while listening to music. I was lip syncing "Soldier" by Citizen Soldier. I had a bitchy look from being hot and tired from how warm I was.

Next thing I know, I'm on the ground waking up from a seizure. My coworker, Amanda, and my mother, who also worked with us, were next to me as I started waking up in the middle of the kitchen.

"What the hell are you three doing on the ground?" Jim, a higher up, asked.

"We are taking care of her. She had a seizure." Amanda calmly replied.

"Get back to work, lazy bitches," Jim said.

"I'm taking care of my daughter dealing with a medical issue. Do I have to teach you how to not be a complete asshole?" My mom asked him.

"You can try but people only listen when I am an asshole so you're not going to get anywhere," Jim replied, with an attitude.

"Come with me," my mom said, clearly pissed at Jim. It wasn't the first time he gave issues and it wouldn't be the last. Amanda helped with these issues as a witness but I told my mom everything since I needed support.

I heard the cooler door open and close as I stayed on the ground. It started with them yelling at each other. I heard their voices shouting at each other but didn't know what they were saying.

Whatever was said escalated very quickly after what felt like only three or four minutes. At this point, I heard a gun shot. I didn't think my mom had her gun, so I thought I just lost her forever. I laid there and just cried.

My mom walked out of the cooler with some red spots on her arms and I started to piece together what just happened.

She quietly said, "Clock us both out and meet me in the car."

Neither of us ever returned there again. We just left with Jim's lifeless body in the cooler.

I had a weird dream (well, nightmare) and it inspired this bizarre piece.
