I've been told motorcycle helmets should be replaced after a crash, and I am writing to seek clarification. My helmet wasn't in a crash, though it was in an impact incident. The other night I was attacked and the guy threatened to rape me. In panic I lashed out with the hand holding my helmet. It broke his hand and jaw. I love my helmet and am not sure I can get another the same, so was wondering if you advise I replace it.
