When I went to work today, I couldn’t stay. As I drove away, my eyes quickly filled with tears. It has been years. I haven’t cried this much in a long time. I am so sad from hearing all the tragic stories of a bad childhood.
I told Sharyl this morning that I could not take it anymore. And I would surely have to go, as I was just too emotional. Someone will have to replace me in this position I am in, as it is too much for me.
Crying is good. Just not this much. Time to go.

Booze-filled cards, pinatas, everything for the 21st birthday celebration. Too much? Yes, too much. For someone who hasn’t been drinking, it can be overdone.
Jason planned to start medical school in the spring. He knew his friends had been planning a party for some time. They were 21 already.
He told his parents about the party and assured them he wouldn’t overdo it. The night came and with all the encouragement he opened and rapidly drank all his birthday gifts.
His buddies thought he was taking a nap. He didn’t make it home, he made it to the morgue.

Who knows if it is the first or the third time it is a charm! Married three times. One or three children? The third cat? Okay, let’s say the third time is the charm.
Shelly is marrying for the third time. She says this is the charm. Two husbands before had died young. She wasn’t planning that. So why would this husband be the charm?
She said, “If he dies after me, he is the charm! If he is good to me, my children and grandchildren he is the charm! So, the third time really is the charm for Shelly.”

Koyi wobbled to her shabby wood and straw kaz, holding her machete and an old burlap bag with some yams. Someone had laid another basket in front of the patched up door—rose apples today. They were a bright reddish pink, looking waxy and crisp, just the way she liked them. The culprit knew her very well. Those would be crunchy, juicy and sweet—she could tell—but she gathered all the will she could muster and pushed the basket aside to enter her home. She had already said no repeatedly and would not be taking bribes.
