Thank you Dad

This is a story of a very rich person and billionaire almost trillionaire mogul. His name was Anthony, Anthony Ohaus. He started his empire over 60 plus years ago when he was in his late 20’s, early 30’s. He started building his fortune from a gift of cash given to him by his well off father. He didn’t want to take the gift as he had something against his father due to him not being their for him his entire life, as he put work first always. This effected him emotionally.

Anthony lived a comfortable life already working as a manager at one of the biggest companies in his state. A job he got he thought from his hard work and dedication at previous job but in reality, his father gave them a call knowing the owner of the company and putting in a good word for his son. But yes Anthony felt he could build his new life alone and didn’t want to accept the cash gift his father gave him but he was just married a year earlier and had a child recently. So he took the gift.

With this gift he start his own company a car company in Detroit, Michigan. The automobile business was just starting to boom and it was something his father didn’t have his hands in so he jumped into that business right away. Thinking I beat my dad to the punch on this one. I will become a great company and make a beautiful life for my wife and child.

His wife was a Irish woman with a beautiful accent he thought and his child had the most beautiful mesmerizing blue eyes. He loved them very much and set out to become better than his dad. It was like a competition to him. But Anthony had forgotten the heart ache he past watching his mother cry as his dad would not come home for days at a time. He forgot this and was focused on becoming one of the richest men in the world.

The first year his company flourished getting even government accounts for trucks and other vehicles to be made for the military. He became very successful. His business grow to be the biggest in the USA at the time. Well about 5 years in, even a article came out speaking on how he built a great empire from trucks to military contracts to now building rockets and more as he was always fascinated with space as well.

As he built his empire he acquired a little black book and he would go to banks over seas and put money away for emergency. Also he kept all the debts owed to him in this little black book. He had lent to many other entrepreneurs to get them started but did not ask for his loans back just yet but he made sure his lawyers drew out all the proper paper work that they would have to pay with a interest of just 11%, the reason being 11 was his favorite number. So he helped many start up their now million to billion dollar industries. He kept the black book on him always. It was his back up if anything was to go wrong.

He went on and built thing for many companies over the years but becoming like his father unknowingly. His wife was depressed amd his child a teenager now had the same type of feelings toward Anthony as he did with his father. He amassed a fortune but was loosing his family unknowingly. Thinking oh they are happy with all I have provided for them. But all they really want was a husband and a father, just like his mother. But Anthony caught up in all his business ventures never realized this.

Then came the year of Great Recession. Anthony went from being a super rich mogul to holding on by a few strings to several of his companies. He had some savings but not nearly enough to bail out his companies and save them. He didn’t want to be a failure as he wanted to leave all to his sin as a legacy.

His son was now grown and Anthony a older man now way past his prime. He decided to retire. He managed to save his businesses through the recession using government bailout as his companies were to big to fail. So he still had his black book but it had been in his safe for quite some time now. He just needed to make a few calls or go visit some of the people in the little black book and he could have 100’s of millions payed backed to him as the people he invested in or lended money to were all thriving.

As Anthony had become a old man he decided it was time to take care of himself and take his wife on a journey around the world. He went to the doctors for a check up amd discovered he was terminally ill and had very little time. Anthony very angry he worked so hard so he can live out the rest of his life in peace relaxing on beaches around the world was very upset. He went to every doctor in the world and spent a large majority of his money. Looking to be cured but nothing could be done.

He was hospitalized a year later and was on the brink of death. His son came to visit him and give him some news before he passed away. His son told him dad I am working for a small company a tech start up and have met a beautiful woman. I think she is the one he said to his father. I just wanted to tell you when I was young I had bad feelings toward you but now seeing you here on your deathbed I know you did it all for us, mom and I. I love you dad. I ask your blessings be upon my marriage.

Anthony began to cry, I’m so sorry my child I wasn’t there. I turned out just like my father seeking fortune amd thinking material things would keep you amd your mom happy. I wish I could give you the world to start your life’s journey with something. Then Anthony called for the nurse. He told her please put some pain medicine in my IV and sit me up I have just remembered something, something very important. The nurse did as he asked and left the room.

Anthony wiped his tears away and said son. I have everything you need to live a great life with this new girl of yours. Also if you have a child you never have to work in your life just invest in companies that are in what I am going to tell you. Over the last few years before I spent up my savings I have a lot of loans I gave, all are documented with my lawyer and also in my home I have a little black book with all the information inside. I have at least half a billion dollars not counting the interest invested in many different companies which are thriving now. I helped them when they had nothing. This shall all be yours.

Anthony told his son the code to his safe it was his son’s birthday. His son smiled. He told his son you get this book. Grab whatever cash I have left there and buy yourself a nice suit amd go see my lawyer. He will take you to each company to collect amd you will have the little black book with you to confirm amounts owed by each company amd the interest owed as well. I want you to mot only take care of your life but make sure your mother is well off. I love you son amd I should have been there more. Please accept this gift and do as I stated. Please don’t work again a day in your life the investments lined up in the little black book will take care of you as welll as all others for the rest of your life. I don’t want you to be like me spend your days traveling and at home with your family.

All of a sudden Anthony began having a very bad epileptic attack, his son screamed for the nurse. They came running in the doctor as well. The doctor immediately reaching for his tongue so he would swallow it. In between this struggle, Anthony said go son take what I have left for you and live a wonderful life, coughing up blood as he spoke. His son said I love you dad and left.

The doctors and nurses tried to stabilize Anthony, but his heart stopped. Anthony felt his soul drifting away he could see a light with old friends even his mom waiving to him from within. He died. The doctor tried to bring him back but to no avail. The life of Anthony had come to a end.

Anthony’s son followed all his fathers directions first going to his home amd telling his mother I think you should go see dad in the hospital. He has really changed in these last days of his life. But unknown to them he was alreqady gone. He also told his mom about the little black book and what Anthony his father said to do. So he went up to his fathers bedroom amd behind a portrait of Anthony amd his wife was a wall safe. He imputed his birthday it opened. There was a couple hundred thousand dollars and a little black book with dust on it way in the back. He pulled it out and started looking through it. His father basically started, well not started but funded every major tech company from Apple to Lockheed Martin. He had more than half a billion in his little black book. His father wasn’t lying.

The next day he went and bought a nice Armani suit and visited his fathers lawyer and pulled out the little black book. The lawyer quickly stated I been waiting fir this day. I thought your father forgot about all this money he put out there to start others dreams. The lawyer asked are you ready. They hopped on a private jet amd visited each company getting back what was owed and leaving the interest invested in each company so he would never have to work again in his life and could spend his time with his family as his father asked.

If it wasn’t for Anthony’s terminal illness he most likely would have forgotten about these investments and his little black book. But after traveling the world trying to save his life he had a lot of time to think. He felt he became his dad and didn’t want that for his sin to do the same. That’s when he remembered the little black book and decided it will be a gift to his son.

All worked out with Anthony’s son, he was now a mogul himself. But he lived a life at home living off what the little black book told him to. Every time he visited his fathers grave. He would say thank you father, thank you for making my life beautiful and mom is very happy thanks to you. You didn’t fail us you saved us with the inheritance you left us. You were not here just like grandpa wasn’t there for you but in death you will be with us always I know. Thanks dad.
