Questions about life

from me and my heartbeats

Recently my youngest started asking me questions.... some that made me go hmm that's a good one and others that made me laugh. There were even some that made me squirm and say go ask your grandparents.

This made me think of the days when i was growing up where my questions were usually ignored because children (usually were to be seen and not heard) and if you persisted in asking it could be construed as back talk.

I of course, as a parent, decided that no matter the question I would answer to the best of my ability...... question such as "where do babies come from" or even " why are some people rude". Those are easy despite how you answer them.

I have one child that really challenges me in his questions...... His sisters often asked simple easy questions and occasionally ones that had me shaking my head ........

WHY DO KIDS ASK WHERE BABIES COME FROM IN THE MOST INOPPORTUNE TIMES??????????? this was asked in the middle of the grocery store.

Ugh, I swear they do to embarrass us as parents but that is neither here nor there.....

I started pondering the topic of questions when my middle child and i were talking about things that's going on in the world. She asked why a certain felon(34 counts ppl with more to come) was allowed to continue to run for president and ordinary felons were not. My response was telling her about the two tiered system of justice as well as allowing his lackies to provide excuses as to why he shouldn't be treated as anybody else.

My wonderful child, turned her head and muttered something that she didn't want me to hear..... before looking back at me and completely changed the conversation.

* This has so many starts and stops but that is the nature with being a parent *

Now we are on a different day and again I have to as "why do children ask questions that seem to have no reasonable ending such as ....... well why cant i become spiderman? "

My theory since this was the 75 th time he asked this question..... each time being told that spider man doesn't exist and that he was invented by some body for entertainment.

I wanna contemplate the adult questions of life that nobody told me about but ..... hold on kid needs me.

And its now another night...2 days later....love my youngest but sometimes I wonder why does he do the things he does. So far in the short span of the past couple of days he asked if i could buy him a lottery ticket, or see if his girlfriend could come over ( he likes older women) , and something about that dang radioactive spider again......

Their oldest sibling usually just laughs when I tell the questions they ask because she knows I still remember some of hers.

Here is a unique question..... my middle asked if she got married would it be weird if her guest wore some kind of cosplay or just plain black..... i told her it would depend .... she just looked at me and smiled because I know she was probably thinking hypothetically and in the distant future.

My kids sometimes asks weird questions but then again sometimes they ask things that just make me wonder if they are trolling mom. Seriously what child is gonna ask their mom "why would you get me a birthday present?"

That oldest child that's who..... all because she is turning 20 for the 3rd yr in a row. Mind you, that heartbeat works 2 jobs in her preferred career and is a college graduate who feels that there is no need to settle down just yet...... I agree with that and her.
