Gift card holders are a wonderful way to present gift cards. Instead of trying to buy the right gift, you can create memories that last a lifetime, with a stress free shopping experience by purchasing a card and presenting it in a unique way.

Instead of purchasing the usual sleeve, here are ten ways to make card gifting memorable:

Flower Bouquet: Buy a dozen flowers (roses, carnation, lilies) and a few gift cards (denominations of your choice). Attach the gift cards to a plastic stemmed card holder (short side of card). Then attach different colored pieces of cellophane around the bottom portion of the card. You can layer the different colors for greater effect. With the cellophane bunched at the bottom end, tie or tape onto the plastic stick, you should form a "flowered look". Evenly place the flowered card amongst the regular flowers and place into a decorative vase. Note: one card could be a custom card that says "I love you" or "thank you" or "happy birthday" - use your imagination.

Baby Shower: Purchase a doll or stuffed bear and a pair of baby diapers or baby panties. Put the panties on the doll/bear and slide your choice of gift card (Toys R Us, Babies R Us) into the front top portion of the panties (1/2" of card showing). Wrap colorful ribbon around the neck of the doll/bear and form a bow in proportion to the size of the face. You can present the doll/bear as is or wrap the present into a box with decorative wrapping. Another way to present the doll/bear is purchasing a plastic baby bathtub and put the doll inside with some blankets and wrap in clear cellophane topped off with a matching bow.

Sephora Case: For the woman who likes to check her make up throughout the day, buying a compact with a dual mirror or buy a Sephora beauty card and the mirrored compact that comes with it. The compact is used as a gift card holder. Then present the compact in a small velvet or sparkly purse.

Balloon Bouquet: Bouquet of helium balloons that you have inserted gift cards into. This idea can be used for any occasion (birthdays, weddings, baby showers). The secret to getting the cards into the balloons, is to insert the card into the balloon before you have it filled. This is accomplished by stretching the opening of the balloon enough to fit around the card and when the helium is added the card should sit at the inside bottom of the balloon. When the balloons start to deflate, the recipient can pop the balloon for their present. The bouquet is finished off with colorful string and a weight.

Coffee Lovers: How about another mug, but this time custom designed with a custom designed matching gift card. The matching card sits halfway inside coffee beans that fill the mug. Then wrap with sparkly cellophane and a bow. If you didn't want to go the custom route then purchase a mug and card from the recipients favorite Coffee House.

Shopper: A present for a friend who is a shopper can be difficult because they seem to have everything. So give them the experience they love and purchase a gift card/s from their favorite shop/s and slip it/them into an age appropriate wallet, which can be wrapped up.

Christmas: Purchase a miniature Christmas tree and make or purchase small christmas stockings of different colors and patterns. Slip a different gift card into each stocking and hang the stockings on the tree. Add tinsel around the stockings and top the tree with a star or angel. Add the tree on to a side table with a small tree skirt around the bottom, that has recipients name and Merry Christmas on it.

Artist: Purchase a decorative frame with a mat from the dollar store or Michael's. Within the open hole of the mat place a gift card to their favorite art supply store and back the card with contrasting paper, then close off the backing. Wrap the present in tissue and a funky gift bag.

Gardener: Purchase a mid size Terra Cotta pot and decorate or paint (strips, flowers or veggies) on the outside of the pot. Then fill the inside of the pot with potting soil. Open up 2-3 seed packets and empty seeds. Then slide different gift cards into each packet and close off the packets with clear tape. Finally, place the packets upright an inch into the soil. Place the pot in a cellophane bag and place a pair of gardening gloves around the bast of the pot, tie off the bag with a raffia bow.

Cooking: Purchase a recipe card holder that you'll fill with family recipes on index cards.

On each of the dividers or just on the front divider add gift cards to a variety of restaurants or one special restaurant the recipient enjoys. Then to add that special touch, decorate the outside of the box with family/friend photos around the picnic/dining table.
