I Killed My "Father"

On 2nd December 2019 Mumbai Police found a suitcase from Mahim beach in Maya Nagri Mumbai. Inside the suitcase were a man's severed arms, legs and other body parts.

The police found this suitcase floating on Mahim Beach, it was very difficult for the police to identify the dead body, besides the dead body from the suitcase, the police also got shirts, sweaters and paints.

There was panic as soon as the suitcase was received. A new and endless case had come before the police.

How was this headless corpse identified?

In view of the seriousness of the matter, the crime branch team handed over the investigation to the Mumbai Crime Branch, saw a tag of 'Elmo Men's Wear' on a shirt.

Crime Branch reached the shop on Belgami Road in Kurla West, when the bill of that shirt came out, it came to know that the bill was in the name of some Benatribello!

Now the aim of the police was to find a man of the same name. The Mumbai Crime Branch searched Bennett Rebello on Facebook and found photographs in several profiles, including one of the man wearing the same red sweater that was found in the suitcase.

It has been confirmed from this picture that it is the same Bennett Rabello. It was found from the Facebook ID that he was a musician and used to play the guitar. He had also uploaded his visiting card on his Facebook account. The police reached the address written on the card. Saw that the house was locked. On enquiry, it was found that no one had seen Bennett for the last few days.

On inquiring with the neighbors, it was found about his adopted daughter Aaradhya Patil alias Riya Bennett Rebello

Neighbors told that he lived here with his adopted nineteen year old daughter.

And the murderer is revealed

Police obtained his number and on December 7 arrested Bennett's adopted daughter and her boyfriend on suspicion of murdering Bennett Rebello. The girl is 19 years old and the boy is 16 years old. On interrogation, both confessed to killing Bennett.

An adopted daughter along with her lover murdered her father and cut him into several pieces. The arrested daughter confessed her crime before the police and said that she has no regrets for her actions. The police were also stunned to know the reason given by the girl for the murder.

Bennett lived alone at his home. Had two marriages, but was separated from both the wives. On November 26, his daughter murdered him along with her boyfriend.

Giving full details of the incident, he told that both of them attacked Bennett with knife and stick, sprayed mosquito killer on his mouth and stabbed him to death.

After this, a plan was made to dispose of the dead body.

They kept the dead body in the house for three days. During this, Rebello's daughter and boyfriend were present at the flat. They cut the body into small pieces with four sharp knives. The knife was heated before cutting the body into pieces. After filling the pieces in three suitcases, they took them to Mithi river by rickshaw and threw them. One of the suitcases had reached Mahim beach. A friend of Riya's boyfriend was also involved in this whole incident.

Riya told that Bennett used to sexually abuse her. And used to oppose her relationship with boyfriend. Due to which she was fed up and killed him along with her lover.

Police recovered another suitcase from Mithi river near Bandra Kurla Complex area.

Later, the police arrested the third accused in this case. The name of the third accused who was caught by the police is Ali Umar Miyan Chaus. Ali is 19 years old and is a friend of Aaradhya aka Rhea's boyfriendThe next day of the incident i.e. on 27 November, Riya and her lover met Ali at Ghat Kopar. The two told Ali that Bennett had been murdered, then asked him to arrange for a chopper to dismember the body. Ali came to Vakola two days later i.e. on 30 November, where the three of them spent the whole night cutting Bennett's body into pieces and then stuffing those pieces in different bags.

Ali told police that he had put Bennett's dismembered torso in a bag and wrapped it with tape. Also, he helped them both in shopping for the necessary materials to dispose of the body. Together with the two, she bought suitcases and other items from a shop near Bennett's house. In this suitcase, all three had thrown the pieces of the dead body into the sweet river.

Bennett Rebello was murdered on 26 November. On November 27, his corpse was cut into eight pieces. Four knives were brought for this. In Rebello's kitchen, these knives were heated on a gas stove and various parts of his body were cut. Some parts were put in a suitcase. Later his body was dumped at different places in Mumbai. Some pieces of the dead body kept in the suitcase were found by the police during the investigation. The police had identified the dead body from his clothes. After this, the Mumbai Crime Branch solved the mystery of the suitcase containing the corpse.
