You actually read it correctly.

For me, May was a terrible month. That’s why I was absent from Vocal.

My five-year-old daughter went through a difficult period. She had malaria in the first week of May, again in the middle of the second week, and is currently recovering from chicken pox.

She acted like an infant the entire month and was quite sensitive.I was all she needed. (The first two weeks of May)

There were terrible nights when I couldn’t even touch her because she had a high temperature, her body was shaking due to high fever and in the hot summer heat I had to cover her with sheets.

I was truly heartbroken by her circumstances.

And the day arrived when I discovered that she had chicken pox; her forehead had the first blister I had seen.

At that point, I broke down in tears and lost all strength since, “she is only five years old, I was twelve when I had chicken pox and was strong enough to fight the disease”.

And the worst thing that I was hearing news everyday that kids are not being survived from this disease.

She was just recovering from Malaria two times , and now chicken pox that was really disturbing for me and she was very weak.

She had blisters all over her body, making it impossible for her to chew food or even swallow spices due to her oral blisters.

But with God’s help, she survived the terrible disease, and now that she is recovering, she is eating. It has been four days since she began to play and eat.

Author’s Notes:

Although it is extremely tough for a mother to witness her children in such a terrible and painful situation, I would advice all mothers to remain strong and optimistic during this difficult period.

The only thing to do in any difficult situation is to remain positive and ask God for forgiveness.

Our children require our faith, kindness, and strength. May God protect you all from illness and suffering.
