The safe house was a small cabin nestled deep in the woods, far from any towns or cities. It was simple but cozy, with all the supplies they needed to last for weeks. As they settled in, Ethan explained more about the situation.
"The organization I worked for, they're involved in some very dangerous activities. When I left, I took some sensitive information with me as leverage, in case they ever came after us. It seems they've discovered that, and now they're trying to track us down."
Sarah listened, her mind racing. "What kind of information?"
Ethan hesitated. "It's complicated, but it involves some high-level corruption and illegal operations. If it were to get out, it could bring down some very powerful people. That's why they're so determined to find us."
