Chapter 1: Best Friends

Sophie and Lily were inseparable. Sophie, the daughter of a wealthy family, and Lily, from a humble background, had been best friends. They did everything together and shared every secret, dream, and hope. But Lily’s intentions were not pure. She always wanted to be in Sophie’s place. They had bestie goals, one of which was to cut their hair together, symbolizing their bond.

One sunny afternoon, as they sat under their favorite tree, Lily excitedly shared an idea. "Sophie, I've heard about this magical hair salon deep in the forest. My grandma told me about it. They say it's special and can make your hair look amazing!"

Sophie laughed, intrigued by the idea. "Really? A magic salon in the forest? That sounds like an adventure! Let's do it!"

The next weekend, they ventured into the forest, following Lily's directions. After walking for an hour, they found a quaint, old-fashioned salon nestled among the trees. An old lady greeted them at the door, her eyes twinkling with a mysterious light.

"Welcome, dears," the old lady said, her voice warm and inviting.

"Grandma, this is my friend Sophie," Lily introduced her. Sophie looked puzzled but smiled politely.

"Please, come in," the old lady said, offering them a drink. "This is a special welcome drink."

They spent the afternoon laughing, talking, and enjoying the old lady's company. The haircut experience was magical, just as Lily had promised. Sophie's hair felt lighter, and she admired her new look in the mirror.

"This place is incredible, Lily," Sophie said, grinning. "Thank you for bringing me here."

As they left the salon, the old lady waved them goodbye. "Come back anytime, girls."

Chapter 2: Trouble at Home

When Sophie got home, her mother was waiting for her, arms crossed and a stern look on her face. "Sophie, where have you been? And what happened to your hair?"

"I went to a salon with Lily, Mom. It was amazing," Sophie replied, still basking in the glow of their adventure.

Her mother frowned. "A salon in the forest? That sounds suspicious. What's the name of this place?"

Sophie hesitated. "I... I don't remember the exact name."

Her mother's frown deepened. "Why didn't you go to our usual salon? It’s very dangerous going to the forest alone. Bring Lily here. I need to talk to her."

Sophie felt a knot of worry in her stomach. She knew Lily would be hesitant, but she had no choice. The next day, she asked Lily to come over, explaining the situation.

Lily arrived, looking nervous. As she stepped into Sophie's house, the family pets—dogs and cats—started barking and making strange noises. They calmed down and started to show love towards Lily when Sophie offered Lily a glass of water. Lily looked confused by the pets' sudden change.

They spent the afternoon playing board games, waiting for Sophie's mother to return. During the game, Sophie's long nails accidentally scratched Lily's hand. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Lily!" Sophie exclaimed.

"It's okay," Lily said with a smile. "Let me cut your nails for you." She pretended to throw the cut nails away but secretly kept them in her pockets

When Sophie's mother finally came home, Lily slipped out through the back door.
