Iceland. The country without snakes .

Iceland is a Republic located on an island just south of artic circle, this country is famous for its hot springs and held the title of the world's safest country with a population of 350,000 people.

many people believed Iceland doesn't have snakes and reptiles or mosquitoes, it sound a little too good to be true ,apart from the cold climate not suitable for reptiles but one of the reason you won't contact a snake in Iceland is because owning a pet snake ,lizard or turtle is against the law.
these reptiles were banned in the early nineties after a turtle infected its owner with Salmonella paratyphib and for this reason , you won't ever come across reptiles in the city of Iceland.

Iceland boast of the country with the lowest crime rate in the world for over a decade now and its because of Iceland laws and regulations guiding its people not to commit heinous crimes.
in Iceland, working as a stripper is illegal and you can risk up to 2 years in jail if caught doing in the act

in the world today, most people name their children any name they like even if it's offensive or disgraceful, in Iceland ,you can't give your child just any name ,within six months after a baby is born, parents must submit their newborns name to the National registry , if their name of choice is not in use and previously registered. the name will be properly evaluated by the personal names committee of Iceland, however the committee once rejected the name Satania which posit the idea of a female Satan.

the homicide rate in Iceland is almost non -existent .
sorry to boxing fans, but ,professional boxing fight in Iceland is illegal , in 1956 , all boxing competitions and boxing shows were banned in Iceland

Not until 1989, bear was banned in Iceland, after the freedom of drinking bear in 1989 ,icelanders now celebrates beer day on march 1st to commemorate the end of beer ban .
more than 60% of the Icelandic population live in the capital city of reykjavic and Iceland has one of the longest workweek in Europe.

The national colour of Iceland are red , white, and blue ,the red color represents the volcanic fires, the white represents the snow and the blue represents the ocean .
Iceland is a great destination for tourists and travellers to explore in the northern Europe to have an amazing experience with diverse culture and environments
