MIKHAIHA: A Love Unveiled (SERIES)

PART 1

By JaszyjayPublished about a month ago 4 min read
In the world of K-pop, Aiah and Miks of Starlight Dreams must navigate their secret love amidst fame, fear, and unspoken emotions. Their journey unfolds through heartache, courage, and the ultimate triumph of true love.

One of the sensations in the dynamic world of K-pop is Starlight Dreams. This was an eight-member girl group that had taken the music industry by storm, attracting fans through their captivating performances and immense talents. Among them, Aiah and Miks were outstanding, not only because of their extraordinary abilities but also due to a unique bond they shared – an invisible strand that connected them at levels unknown even to their fans.

Aiah was famous for her infectious laughter and boundless energy as well as being the heart of the band. On the contrary, Miks appeared cool and confident with her elegance and grace which made her the anchor of this group. Still on stage together, it was evident how much they were in love with one another; this magnet drew fans closer whenever they performed.

They spent years hiding their emotions, being careful not to give even a slight hint of it. There was tremendous pressure on them to keep up the charade but they did this for the sake of Starlight Dreams. They had fellow members like Maloi, Colete, Stacey, Gwen Sheena and Jho who knew nothing about silent war that was going on in their hearts.

However the burden of unexpressed love became heavier by day. Aiah found herself alone with Miks in their practice room late one night after a tiring rehearsal. It was dimly lit and outside it had become quiet as death.

“I can’t do this anymore Miks,” Aiah said, her voice barely more than a breath. Tears swam in her eyes. “I can’t pretend I don’t love you.”

This made Miks’s heart miss a beat. She knew all along that Aiah felt the same way but hearing her say so made it all realer. She took a deep breath trying to slow down an accelerated heartbeat.”Aiah, I too love you but we cannot… fans… media…they will not understand…it could ruin everything we have built”

Aiah's tears began to free fall and she nodded, comprehending Miks’ words as the truth hit home but still feeling the scorn of rejection. “I get it.” she murmured with a hoarse voice. “But it’s still painful.”

From then on, they grew apart. Aiah delved herself into work in an attempt to deaden the pain in her heart while Miks fought with her own guilt and remorse. There was a small shift in Starlight Dreams dynamics but others felt it. The first person to approach Aiah was Maloi.

“Aiah, anything is not well between you two?” Maloi asked gently one evening with worry etched all over her face.

A smile stretched across Aiah’s face though there was no light reaching her eyes. “We’re just…going through some things, don’t worry, we’ll be fine as a group.”

However it did affect the group. Their once seamless harmony started crumbling between Aiah and Miks and their performances simply lacked that sparkle that made them so enthralling even if they were still spectacular . Fans could notice this change on social media where some speculated endlessly about what might be going wrong.

This was during the time when Jin showed up, a famous actor and singer. He looked attractive and caring and was attracted to Aiah. She allowed Jin to date her in order to take her mind off her broken heart. Their public displays of affection made people think that there was a new celebrity couple in town and this seemed like a good thing.

Every time Miks saw Aiah with Jin, standing at the side lines watching, she felt jealous. She missed the late night talks, inside jokes, or even just sitting together silently. The thought of losing Aiah forever consumed her but Miks could not do anything about it.

After a taxing performance one evening, Miks found herself left alone with Aiah in the dressing room. Something had been left unspoken for so long that it hung heavily in the air and Miks could not hold back anymore.

Miks said with emotion breaking into her voice,” I miss you Aiah. I miss us. I was wrong pushing you away. I love you; I am ready to fight for us no matter what.”

Looking at her eyes full of sadness and hope mixed together, “Miks, you have hurt me too much how can I trust that you won’t change your mind again?”

Miks took Aiah's hands in hers, her grip firm and reassuring. "I know I messed up, but losing you has shown me that nothing else matters. Not the fans, not the fame—just us. I promise I'll never let fear come between us again."

Just as they were about to share a heartfelt embrace, Jin walked in, witnessing the intimate moment. He looked between the two girls, understanding dawning on his face. "I see," he said softly. "Aiah, you deserve to be with someone who truly loves you. I'll step back."

Aiah felt a surge of gratitude and relief. She turned back to Miks, tears in her eyes. "I love you, Miks. Let's be brave together."

From that day on, Aiah and Miks decided to face the world together, no longer hiding their love. The journey was challenging, with mixed reactions from fans and the media, but their love grew stronger with each passing day. Starlight Dreams continued to shine, not just because of their talent, but because of the genuine bond that now fueled their performances.

In the end, love triumphed over fear, and Aiah and Miks proved that true love could indeed conquer all.
