The iconic K.C. and The Sunshine band continue to bring joy and hopefulness to the masses through their music with the release of “Put a Little Love in Your Heart.” The popular cover song spreads an important message that is available on all streaming platforms now. Though the song has often been sung since Jacki DeShannon’s original version in 1968, the lyrics have never been needed more than the past 6 months.

“If you want the world to know / We won't let hatred grow / Put a little love in your heart”

K.C. spoke to Fox Entertainment about the inspiration behind releasing the heartfelt video below. “When all this started up, I was sitting at my computer one night. I was just getting overwhelmed by all the unrest and the protests and everything that was going on along with the pandemic and I just started lip-syncing for the song on my phone and doing this video of it,” he said. “And I put that on my page because I just felt, you know, we need more love in our hearts. And that's what we really need these days." The positive response was an encouraging reminder that everyone is looking for a little extra love these days.

As he shared on Twitter, “I think we can all use a little love in our hearts right now.” Stream “Put A Little Love In Your Heart” now and while you’re there treat yourself to the other uplifting and fun hits of KC and The Sunshine Band.
