Photography is an art form that allows for the creation of visual images through the use of a camera. It requires both technical skills and creative vision to capture a moment in time. But what sets apart a good photograph from a great one? The answer lies within the (photographer's eye).
The photographer's eye refers to their ability to see things differently and capture them in a unique way. It is not just about having expensive equipment or technical knowledge, but rather the perspective and creativity that they bring to their work.
The camera on your phone or the Canon or Sony that cost an arm and leg can work when you have the eye.

Seeing the Light is a Must
One important aspect of developing a strong photographic eye is learning how to see light. Light can make or break a photograph, and a skilled photographer knows how to use it to their advantage. They understand the different qualities of light, including natural vs artificial, harsh vs soft, and warm vs cool. By understanding these nuances, they can manipulate light to create stunning images.

Another key element in developing a photographic eye is composition. Composition refers to the arrangement of elements within a photograph. A good photographer knows how to frame a shot, consider perspective, and use lines and shapes to draw the viewer's eye towards the main subject. They also understand the rule of thirds and when it is appropriate to break it for more dynamic composition.

The ability to capture a moment in time can also be attributed to their patience and timing. They know when to wait for the perfect moment, and when to act quickly to capture a fleeting opportunity. This skill comes with experience and allows photographers to create powerful images that evoke emotion and tell a story.

In addition to technical skills, it is important for photographers to have a strong visual language. This means having a deep understanding of the visual elements such as color, texture, and contrast, and how they work together within an image. A photographer's eye can easily identify these elements and use them effectively in their compositions.
I've been a photographer for almost 10 years. This passion is a way for me to express my feelings through my shot as it is for others when they paint something or create a sculpture or whatever your art skill is.
I hope you enjoy the photos above and let me know what is your art form.
Thanks for reading.
